Measuring Principle

    NH3-N(OPA): The sample after proper filtration is pumped into the reactor, where OPA buffer solution are injected. When heated to some degree, the solution will react with ammonium ions then produce fluorescent reactants. The analyzer measures ABS value of the substances at the specific wavelength, then calculates ammonia concentration of the sample according to the stored calibration data.

    NO3-N: The sample after proper filtration is pumped into the reactor. Using copper sulfate as a catalyst, injecting hydrazine sulfate to convert nitrate into nitrite. Add SAA and NED to the sample. After fully mixing and reaction, the analyzer measures ABS value of red substances produced by reaction at the specific wavelength, then calculates sample concentration according to the stored calibration data.
